VISION
“MEND THE NETS, THE CATCH WILL BE GREAT”
PURPOSE
Ensure the needs of all our women are met through Discipleship and Care.
To reach out to our communities by allowing each cell member to realize and fulfill their passion. The catch will be great if everyone is involved.
As a vehicle for woman within CRC to know, and be knitted to the heart and passion of Ps Nyretta, who heads up the Women’s Ministry.
WOMEN CELLS: Ps Sharon Pawson
We have morning women cells that operate weekly on most days, including Saturdays.
STRUCTURE
The morning cells, as well as all support ministries, operate within the CRC home Cell structure. They strengthen and support our Cell Leaders and Zone Pastors. The morning women Cells, although under the Leadership and Direction of Ps Nyretta, function completely within the different zones, and are accountable to the different Zone Pastors. This is vital for administration purposes, accountability, communication and training – mending the nets!
SUPPORT MINISTRIES
Other ministries and cells have been born out of the Morning Cells. These groups meet at various times over the week or month.
- Divorce Care (Elreza Vorster)
Being a support to people going through a divorce, or who previously
been divorced and have never dealt with it.
- Joseph’s Store House Grocery Project (Thea Kritzinger)
All the morning cells are involved in the collection of groceries throughout the month. This is then stored for when needed by either a church family, or someone in the community as a form of outreach. 3. Outreach to the Aged Knitting Project (Ellen Meyer) Many elderly ladies have been changed and ministered to by the efforts of this outreach program. It has given them purpose and support in living fulfilled lives, even in their old age.
- Outreach to Disadvantaged Matric Girls (Yolandi Hamer)
Each year a group of ladies supports, provides and assists matric girls from previously disadvantaged areas. It includes evening gowns, a mini make-over and whatever else is needed to make this a special occasion.
- Sat. Cell to Young Married Women (Mamiekie Mahanke)
Many young women come from broken homes, or extreme poverty, and therefore do not have the skills or support to run a home efficiently or be a blessing to their children and husbands, so this cell seeks to address these needs Titus 2:4,5).
6. Mentoring Project to Young Women (Elbie Louw) This is to assist young women (aged 18 – 22yrs) in developing life skills, femininity and Godly values, to become the women God ultimately designed them to be.
7. Support for Parents who have lost Children (Marinda Brandt) A support group for any parent who has lost a child; to know there are people who have been there, and are willing to walk the journey with you.
- Singles Group (Marthie Duvenage)
Although fully involved with Cell groups, and other church activities, organize events and socials to be a support to older single people, as well as single parents.
